Clements Engineering supply to Murphy Marine Services

cygnuscyclonesmClements Engineering has once more had a busy year with Murphy Marine Service launches.

Last March saw the launch of the highly bespoke ‘Marie Bang’ a commercial Cyclone 35FC bound for Norway.  The vessel was powered with an Iveco Cursor FPT C9 engine which delivers 550hp at 2,530 rpm Coupled to a Heavy duty ZF325IZ Gear box complete with trolling valve. For the propulsion, Clements Engineering supplied 26 x29 ½ “ fireblade propeller as well as couplings and shaft. The V box was used to keep the Engine as far aft as possible in true Scandinavian style. The aft engine allowed for three large longitudinal fish holds forward of the engine room bulkhead.

The second vessel in 2015 was a commercial Cyclone 30FC, delivered to Declan Kelly of Donegal. The ‘Molly K’, was fitted with an Iveco NEF 67 engine with a Twin disc 5061A gearbox complete with power take off for hydraulic pump. Clements Engineering supplied the couplings, shafts and propeller.

The final launch of the year was for a commercial Cyclone 35 FC which was delivered to the Morrison brothers from Stockinish in Isle of Harris, Scotland and was supplied with full Seafish Certification as is required for UK fishing vessels. The vessel, was fitted with 25 x 30 ½ “ fireblade propeller from Clements Engineering along with couplings and shafts.
