Clements Engineering and G Smyth Boats

gsmythClements Engineering have established a strong reputation supply to various fishing vessels over the years.   One builder with whom they have completed several projects is Northern Irish builder G Smyth Boats.  Since 2009 G Smyth have built numerous vessels and this latest vessel is the Bucaneer 46, which is the biggest vessel to date at 12.96m LOA.

The vessel has been designed with a vivier tank allowing the skipper to fish crabs of the coast of Orkney and store them, safe in the knowledge that they will be delivered to port fresh. The boat is fitted with a powerful Scania D109 marine engine 184kw and 240hp, which will give the speed capacity of 8 knots

Clements Engineering have supplied a full stern gear package to the vessel including, 53” 4 bladed propeller running on 4” diameter F51 duplex twin tapered shaft

The vessel is currently undergoing final fit out at the yard.
