Clements recently came to the rescue of a Scottish fishing boat run by QA Fish Limited (QA Shellfish). Based in Scotland the company buy and export crabs, lobsters and scallops.
Whilst out working one day their shaft snapped and they lost their propeller. Fortunately the propeller had been lost over an area they knew was popular for scallops and sent a diver down. After a short while the diver was able to retrieve the propeller much to the relief of the boat captain.
With the propeller found, they contacted Clements Engineering and it was decided that the propeller shaft would be upgraded to a 2″ and so this was swiftly manufactured and supplied to QA Shellfish along with new couplings to suit.
Clements Engineering have continued to manufacture products at their Bedfordshire plant throughout the recent crisis ensuring that working vessels can get back on the water as quickly as possible.
We wish the boat and crew many good fishing days.
